While we do not bill insurance directly, many patients choose to use HSA or FSA cards for eligible services. Some insurance plans may also offer out-of-network reimbursement—though coverage varies.
We’re always happy to provide a detailed receipt (superbill) upon request so you can check with your insurance provider if reimbursement is available.
Optimize is a self-pay, out-of-network practice. This allows us to provide longer, one-on-one sessions without the limitations often required by insurance companies.
You can begin at any stage of pregnancy. Whether you’re early in your pregnancy and want to learn more about your pelvic floor or getting closer to delivery and preparing for birth, we’ll tailor your care to your needs and stage of pregnancy.
Not at all! Pelvic floor therapy can also help you prepare for birth, understand your changing body, learn breathing and pushing techniques, and plan for postpartum recovery. You don’t have to wait until something feels wrong to seek support.
Your recovery is unique, and there isn’t one timeline that works for everyone. You can schedule an evaluation to discuss your birth experience, healing, symptoms, and goals. Your therapist can help determine an appropriate plan and timeline for your needs.
Yes, pelvic floor therapy can be helpful after both vaginal and cesarean births. Pregnancy itself places demands on your pelvic floor and core, and postpartum care can address breathing, strength, mobility, scar-related concerns, and returning to activity when appropriate.
Your appointment begins with a conversation about your symptoms, health history, and goals. Your therapist may assess breathing, posture, mobility, strength, and coordination. An internal pelvic floor examination may be offered when appropriate, but it is optional and requires your consent. Your therapist will explain your options and prioritize your comfort.
Prenatal bodywork is similar to a massage session, but it's provided by a certified pelvic floor therapist who also considers how muscle tension, movement, and pelvic floor function relate to your pregnancy. Supportive pillows and bolsters help keep you comfortable throughout your session.
Absolutely! The Bump to Baby Bundle is an optional package for expecting moms. If you prefer to book individual appointments, you can schedule an initial evaluation for prenatal or postpartum pelvic floor therapy and add follow-up visits as needed.
Every person and every recovery is different. Some people benefit from just a few visits, while others prefer ongoing support as they progress through pregnancy or postpartum recovery. Your therapist will work with you to determine a plan that fits your needs and goals.
